Mega Plantations focuses on the development of Saliconia species in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Rajarata University, while simultaneously research in dry chillie production and broccoli using advanced greenhouse techniques also takes place, as well as developing coconuts with intercropping. Mega Eco Wheels imports and distributes electric scooters from Thailand, while Mega Trading imports and distrib
utes wines. An avid sportsman, Peries is an Executive Committee Member of the Asian Shooting Confederation (ASC) and an Executive Member of the National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka (NOC), amongst others.
