Federation University expands to Melbourne opening CBD Campus showcasing academic innovation

Federation University Australia has expanded its portfolio to Melbourne City with the opening of a CBD Campus, opening avenues for international students in terms of prospective academic collaboration among educational authorities and institutions. This newly established City Centre Campus not only strengthens its institutional presence among the Melbourne’s academic and professional community but also showcases of Federation University’s leadership in academic innovation through this co-operative educational model.

Expressing the excitement on this launch of Melbourne University, Professor Duncan Bentley, Vice-Chancellor and President of Federation University Australia said, “This established CBD Campus will serve the academia and the community as a launchpad for the next generation of leaders and thinkers with its cutting edge facilities and propel creating an advanced learning environment that is much needed for higher education along with green student spaces.

This new state- of -the -art campus is now ready for a future that welcomes students from the international arena that fosters and facilitates education, growth and collaboration between higher education institutes, striving for further excellence and serving the community. Apart from those, the students are provided with the opportunity of workshops and information sessions and networking opportunities with industry partners and local businesses

Mr. Victor Ramanan, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Deputy Chairman of the Nawaloka College of Higher Studies (NCHS) congratulated on the advancement of Federation’s Melbourne presence and highlighted the importance of the partnership set up to widen the horizons of opportunities for the betterment of the future.

Dr. Alan Robertson, Dean of Studies at Nawaloka College of Higher Studies said, “Nawaloka has been able to build academic pathways for students while it also has contributed to the internationalisation of education with Federation University in Melbourne. At the same time, such contributions to education and internationalisation will be further established with this CBD Campus.”

This initiative was initially launched in early 2025, opening educational avenues for international students in accounting, business, cybersecurity and information technology at the very doorstep of the city’s bustling centre of commerce and technology. At the same time, the city of Melbourne is one of the world’s most culturally diverse and inclusive communities with access to Australia’s best public transportation infrastructure.
